Erbil International Airport (ORER/EBL) is an international airport serving Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The current airport was developed next to the former military airfield and was officially opened in 2011 after the transfer of operations from the old airport. Erbil International Airport supports domestic and international passenger, cargo, VIP, and diplomatic traffic and is one of the main aviation gateways for the Kurdistan Region.
